Maroon Volunteer Center

Maroon Volunteer Center

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, many students with ties to the Mississippi Gulf Coast decided to work together on relief projects. Their initiative became The Maroon Volunteer Center (MVC). For nearly twenty year, MVC has been matching volunteers with community partners through meaningful service opportunities. The MVC also directs, develops, and facilitates programs and activities that allow the MSU community to utilize its talents, skills, and resources in collaboration with our surrounding community members to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Students can search for available opportunities by logging into Cowbell Connect via MyState and selecting the “Service” tab. Any selection will open the signup page for that opportunity on the GivePulse platform
