Center for Community-Engaged Learning
CCEL is a university wide center that supports the MSU’s overall mission of engagement to be a regional, national, and international leader in community-engaged learning. The CCEL provides faculty and staff with support for community-engaged learning design, the production and publication of research and educational courses and programs that focus on the scholarship of engagement, and for the adoption of community-engaged learning methodologies. This unit also highlights the engaged efforts of the university, faculty, staff and partners through the evaluation and recognition of excellent engagement scholarship and service. This center has relocated to the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President from the Division of Student Affairs effective August 8, 2023. This change more closely aligns the center with the new engagement mission and plan, especially considering the role of the faculty.
